 The Mater Hospital is a world class facility operating over 231 hospital beds and with our Maternity unit being voted the Best Private Maternity Unit in NSW, our experienced team of healthcare professionals, care givers and support staff are equipped to provide the highest level of therapeutic, medical and surgical services.

 

We have an available Part Time Clinical Nurse Educator Position in the Day Surgery Unit (0.4 FTE - 32 hours per fortnight).

 

The Opportunity

 The Day Surgery Unit at The Mater Hopsital Sydney is recruiting a Clinical Nurse Educator to become a part of their dynamic and diverse team. The Day Surgery Unit consists of: Pre-op/Admissions, Endocospy Suite, and 3 stages of Recovery. The Day Surgery Unit has a very diverse case mix and is lead by an expert Nurse Manager.

 

About You

 We are looking for a motivated, experienced and approachable clinician, to become part of a dynamic and diverse team in the Day Surgery Unit. You will be able to lead and drive change, and work as part of a team through leading in collaboration. You will have experience in Anaesthetics and Recovery and be motivated and committed to ensuring best practice, legislation and policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff. You will be heavily committed to and involved in the induction of new staff and graduate nurses, contributing to upksilling our workforce.

 

The candidate must have:

 

•             Registration with AHPRA

•             Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or working towards

•             Post-graduate qualifications, or working towards

•             Experience in Anaesthetics and Recovery
